CargoPlanet entered the rather competitive Bulgarian forwarding market several months before the first signals for a global economic crisis. This fact sparked our professional curiosity for this young forwarding company which in the years of the crisis not only kept the volumes of its activities but also opened its own logistics terminal. The manager of the company Stanislav Dimitrov greeted us with some good business news. The company grew 20-25% during the last two years, and transported a total of 4,100 loads last year.

On October 10th, a LOGISTIKA magazine team sailed in “Logistics point Varna”. The aim of the “raid” was to meet and talk to representatives of logistics, forwarding and distribution companies in order to understand their sentiments at the end of the year 2010. In our meetings, we tried to find the answers to two questions: is there some recovery of the market and what management strategies will they use in 2011 in order to regain positions lost during the downturn.
