Vandergeeten Export NV of Belgium is one of the first foreign companies to enter the Bulgarian market after the transition to a market economy. In 1993 it registered a subsidiary – VDG AD Vandergeeten whose operations quickly gained speed. Nowadays, the ownership of the company is entirely Bulgarian, and the company is still one of the leading distribution companies for sweets. The focus is on products which are purchased impulsively – candy, chewing gum, chocolates.

The distributor has outsourced warehousing to a logistics company which carries out all operations related to storage of goods and processing of orders. The company makes the deliveries to the key clients with its own fleet. Deliveries to shops in Sofia are also done with own vehicles while in the country the company has contracted sub-distributors and wholesale traders.
